Beaches & water pleasures

In our region there are several beaches for young and old.

Like the beautiful bay of São Martinho Porto / Salir do Porto, where a spring island is installed in the bay.

Paredes da Vitória beach is also a nice place for small children.

In Nazaré or on Salgado beach you can dive into the waves. For something more active like learning to surf or kite surfing, go to Laguna de Foz do Arelho or Peniche. BBQs on the beaches are also memorable

There are also several water parks in Peniche, Pombal and Mira de Aire.

Excursions to Lisbon, Sintra, Coimbra or Fatima

Casa o Futuro is centrally located for day trips to beautiful Lisbon, Sintra or the university town of Coimbra.

Closer is our own Alcobaça Monastery (just a 5-minute drive), Batalha Church and the imposing Fatima Square.

If you like castles, Tomar is a must or our capital Leiria.

In the Candeiros Natural Park it is pleasant to walk and you can visit the Mira de Aire caves under surveillance.

The salt is extracted in Rio Maior. Then continue to Santarem for a beautiful view of the Tagus Valley.

Shopping enthusiasts and more!

Bien sûr, Lisbonne est la ville ultime pour faire du shopping, il y a beaucoup de grands centres commerciaux, mais aussi dans les environs de la "vieille ville" il y a des rues commerçantes agréables.

Au nord, vous trouverez un centre commercial à Leiria, pour ceux qui n'aiment pas faire du shopping, dans la plupart des cas il y a un cinéma dans le même centre (les films sont parlés en anglais).

Dans les villes de Nazaré et Alcobaça il y a des marchés couverts.

Le dimanche il y a plusieurs grands marchés gitans dans les environs de B & B Casa o Futuro (un must est la nourriture du poulet Piri Piri).
